Warner Pacific Theater
- 6423 Hollywood Boulevard - Italian Renaissance inside and out, G. Albert Lansburgh, 1928 - Warner Brothers' crown jewel
flagship theater, where Carol Burnett was an usherette in the 1940's - Sam Warner oversaw the construction but died before
it was completed - the two radio towers displaying "Pacific" originally displayed the call letters KFWB and the joke was that
stood for "Keep Filming, Warner Brothers" - they say Sam Warner's ghost haunts the place - KFWB (980 AM) has moved down to
Wilshire and is now an all-news, all-the-time thing - If you use any of these photos for commercial purposes I assume you'll discuss that with me |
