	Tuesday, April 12, 2011 – Performing Now

ABC bought and renovated the old Masonic Temple on Hollywood Boulevard, and now it is home to Jimmy Kimmel Live! But the show isn't exactly live. Here he is - Jimmy Kimmel with a basket of cute puppies – taping a skit for this evening's show. The national audience will see it later – edited and cleaned up. Those of us who live here just note it in passing – such things happen all the time. But it was worth stopping for a few shots, on the way to the grocery store. The tourists seem impressed. But it's just another day in Hollywood.

Ah, across the street – it seems there's a new Starbucks between Grauman's Chinese Theater and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum – and they've hired some dancers for the opening – or something. It's hard to tell. Maybe Starbucks does this at all their new stores, or maybe only in Hollywood. It seems oddly European in a way and may be something else entirely. Who knows? But it's Hollywood. You just go with it, whatever it is. You just watch.
