Settling In

Thursday night, August 28, the Cincinnati Reds play the San Francisco Giants at Great American Ballpark – the patriotic pregame ceremonies, wounded Iraq War veterans up from Walter Reed to see the game, and they got a standing ovation, of course. And there were the odd mascots – Mister Red, Rosie Red, and Gaffer – and the colors and the national anthem.  It was all very strange, or it wasn't strange at all.
