No one visits El Segundo – only sixteen thousand residents, a giant oil refinery, a giant waste treatment plant, and all the corporate headquarters from Mattel to the major aerospace companies. It's squeezed between the LAX airport to the north and fancy Manhattan Beach to the south, where all the sports stars live, with the Pacific on the west, with tankers full of crude oil at anchor. It's definitely not a beach town, as you can tell from the city's website. But it has its charms.
The Arts District, or Heritage District of El Segundo, Old Town, runs along Richmond Street, south of Grand, and it's anchored by the Old Town Music Hall.
