Thursday, October 14, 2010 – Applied Walls

The absurdly trendy Sonora Café – 180 South La Brea at Third Street – folded. No more brie quesadilla for you, so get over it. And as happens out here, local guerilla artists had at the walls – and they got ironic. They're still unearthing saber-toothed tigers and mastodons over at the La Brea Tar Pits – such things used to live out here, before any humans did. So the old restaurant on La Brea reverted to a time before people.
