The sky turned strange. You could see it from the window at dawn – you just had to look across the hills at the Griffith Park Observatory, always there in the distance. Everything was all translucent and odd. It was one of those days when all of LA seemed to be in some sort of odd muted dream, one where you couldn't wake up. It looked like this.
