Contrasting Walls

The world as seen from Just Above Sunset -

"Notes on how things seem from out here in Hollywood..."

Severely Modern - the old ten-story Playboy Enterprises Building on the Sunset Strip (1963) - they're gone, and the building has been renovated and is completely leased, mostly to entertainment industry businesses.

This was home to the Los Angeles Playboy Club that opened in 1965. Times change and now advertisers paint the east wall - no bunnies anywhere.

The Old Days - a little Art Deco at the southwest corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox, the famous "You Are a Star" mural by Tom Suriya.
