Saturday, January 30, 2010 – Winter Magnolia

It's that time of year when the odd magnolia is in bloom out here – not the creamy white magnolia of the old south, Magnolia grandiflora, but pink and white Magnolia campbellii and its cultivars. It's a Hollywood thing. These are on a corner over in Beverly Hills, on Roxbury, nor far from the big old house where George and Ira Gershwin lived, now long gone.
