It must have been a joke. Locals refer to it as the Angels and Devils Building – a curious old Spanish Colonial Revival thing on the southeast corner of Dunsmuir and Wilshire Boulevard, right in the middle of what they used to call the Miracle Mile. Maybe it's a comment on miracles.
