On the day the NBA season begins, we get big faces. At the Ricardo Montalbán Theater on Vine, just a few steps south of Hollywood and Vine, the big Shepard Fairey mural of Lance Armstrong is gone, covered by a thick coat of opaque white, then Kobe Bryant of the Lakers. Yes, he's huge. The Ricardo Montalbán Theater is now a joint operation with the Nike people, so this makes sense, perhaps. The other big faces are just mysterious.
