Wednesday, November 4, 2009 – Set in Concrete

Old dead stars set in concrete, in a 1986 mural by Dan Collins, on the exterior of Hollywood Bowl Self Storage, 1847 North Argyle at Franklin Boulevard, under the 101 Freeway. People see it as they drive by, but it's one of those always-busy intersections where you really can't stop – the light changes and you have to move on. People let you know that, loudly. But if you park a few blocks away and walk over, it gets real interesting. But as the only one on foot for a half a mile, you do feel very odd. But that's LA. No one walks.
