Monday, June 22 – Cameron Diaz receives her star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right in front of the 1922 Grauman's Egyptian Theatre that was restored so nicely by the American Cinematheque folks. It seemed a good enough place to stop on the way to the supermarket. When you've lived here for over twenty years you tend to forget that some people take this stuff seriously.
There seems to be a bit of a crowd –
Lots of cameras of course –
It must be a major news event –
Okay, things are more interesting out back. Hanging with the paparazzi is always fun. And a fully armored Ford Excursion rolls in – the driver looks like a nasty fellow –
Okay, the armored SUV, the police everywhere – Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are here –
Another big black SUV rolls up and the paparazzi take their shots of the guest of honor. That's it?
