Hollywood's Theater Row is down on Santa Monica Boulevard between Vine and Highland – near Hollywood Center Studios and just north of Paramount Studios. It's a scruffy industrial area of prop warehouses and odd production shops supporting the movie and television industry, but that's where live theater – real people on actual stages – happens. And during the day, when nothing at all is happening, it's a bit surreal.
