Photographers like to have fun too. This is the famous Camera Window at what used to be a camera store on Wilshire Boulevard at Cloverdale. That's long gone – the place is a high-end Mexican restaurant now – but the window remains, as a kind of in-joke for shutterbugs.

You have to love the El Rey Theater at 5515 Wilshire, from 1936, designed by Clifford A. Balch –
