August here in Hollywood – hot as hell – and just the ordinary looks odd. The view from the living room –

Step out the front door a look down at the pool in the courtyard. The late afternoon light is doing odd things.

From the office window –

And in the empty lot next door, a squatter –

That's the ordinary. This is down the street at one of the three local Frank Lloyd Wright houses, Hollyhock House –

That's Sunset and Vine out there –

Waxing gibbous, eighty-two percent of full –
