It's the new red hotel just north of Hollywood and Vine. It's one of those boutique hotels – a restored old building at 1717 Vine that was going to be way cool, but the original developer ran out of money. The hospitality company SBE – the trendy folks of Hyde Lounge and such places – snapped it up for next to nothing and made it hip and surreal. It's now the Redbury. And new trompe l'oeil is always welcome. |
