Monday, April 20, 2009 – Carlin Territory

The hottest two days in April since 1914 – over a hundred in the shade, if you can find any – and things begin to look mighty strange –

Tourists melt in the heat –

These seem to be Rocket Men –

Don't mess with the Blue Lady –

Driven to drink –

Maybe they'll take him away in this truck –

Ah, this explains it all.  Carlin in gone, but not forgotten –

Taggers had ruined the Maurice Sendak mural on Stanley Avenue, just north of Melrose, so they're redoing it. The local artists, on break, said come back in a week or two, when they're finished.  But, on a blistering hot day, it looks pretty good as is.
