Tuesday, April 21, 2009 – Sky High A brutal April day, dry and one hundred in the shade, but a good day to drive up to Griffith Park Observatory – above it all. It was just as hot up there, but you were above the thick layer of smog, and the world seemed better that close to the sky. And the roof decks were open this time. The observatory opened in 1935, and you could pretend you were in another time. |
